Well more like rainy Tuesday, but I hope yours is going well. So we just completed our first project for this class,in the project we had to design a luxury Sky-box for a VIP recording company who has A-List celebrities that will be using the space to their leisure. For this project (all fictitious might I add) we had to create a Recording Company as well as give them a logo that could be incorporated into the design. I gave mine the name Gilded Lotus, I knew that I would have gold features so it seemed fitting that the name would have Gilded in it. The Lotus portion came because in my mind some of these artist came from nothing or from hard lives and made the most out of it as they climbed to their A-list success. So in saying that I decided to choice the name Lotus because a lotus flower is born out of murky pond and they are beautiful. In symbolizing that you can come from nothing and make it into something spectacular.
My plan for this project was to have feminine aspects but to have it clean crisp with touches of art deco.
I selected the flooring because I loved the idea of putting the lotus flower in the white marble.
The marble I selected was primarily white but had black & gold veins running throughout. Black crown molding trim on all the walls and baseboards. Coffered ceiling with strategic lighting throughout. Moveable bar for all entertaining needs as well as a full stocked kitchen. Sitting area with a large sectional and 4 square ottomans around a glass coffee table. This room also includes a big flat screen because we all know how some like to watch 3 or 4 games at once. With a pool table for those hangouts after the game.
